About BROKINZ-LS SYP
A combination drug called Brokinz Syrup treats coughs by encouraging the bronchi to secrete phlegm or sputum. It treats respiratory disorders, such as upper respiratory tract infections, bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchial tubes), and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). COPD is a long-term inflammatory lung disease brought on by a blockage in the lungs' airflow. An upper respiratory tract infection is a bacterial or viral illness of the nose, throat, pharynx, larynx, and bronchi.
Ambroxol, Terbutaline, Guaifenesin, and Menthol make up Brokinz Syrup. Ambroxol is an 'expectorant' that facilitates coughing up secretions. Additionally, it is a "mucolytic agent," which reduces the viscosity of sputum and facilitates breathing. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator; it acts by letting the bronchi (airways) in the lungs open up and relax. Another 'expectorant' is guaifenesin. It makes coughing easier by reducing the thickness or viscosity of bronchial secretions (phlegm) and increasing mucus flow. An organic flavoring addition called menthol soothes sore throats and gives off a chilly feeling.
